In Taiwan, the most classic size is the 143cc beer glass.
While 143cc isn’t an official standard, it's considered the perfect size to preserve beer's freshness.
Legend has it that during WWII, due to shortages, the Taiwan Monopoly Bureau reduced the size of beer glasses to make each sip feel more precious.

One 600ml Taiwan Beer fills exactly four 143cc glasses.
The phrase “You finish yours, I’ll drink as I please” (你乾杯，我隨意) has become the warmest form of bonding in Taiwan.
